Laura K. Schenck, Ph.D.

Laura Schenck, Ph.D. - Krista Jordan Therapy - Austin, TX

I am committed to building meaningful, collaborative therapeutic relationships with individuals, couples, and families making the brave choice to reach out for support. Change is inevitable and can be quite difficult at times. I’ve learned that although pain is inevitable, suffering is optional. Within the context of therapy, it is possible to draw upon your strengths and values to learn a new way of relating to your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

My aim is to compassionately work with you to understand your concerns and their impact. At your pace, we can explore problematic obstacles, while gently introducing more adaptive, flexible ways of engaging with life and moving towards your goals. I deeply believe in the human capacity for resilience and growth in the face of incredible adversities. I feel privileged to traverse a portion of your life’s journey with you. You may discover that it is your own inner sense of knowing, self-love, and willingness to commit to making changes that will ultimately guide the way through the darkness.
