Dr. Krista Jordan, Psychotherpist

Dr. Jordan obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas in 1996, and is currently one of only 8 female psychologists in Austin who is board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology, a certification which takes a minimum of 4 years to complete. She is also one of only two clinicians in Austin who is a Level 3 PACT trained couples therapist. Dr. Jordan has been published in numerous medical and psychology journals and taught graduate level classes at Texas State University. She continues to collaborate with both UT Austin and TSU in ongoing research in medical psychology.

Dr. Jordan trains new PhD graduates in her Post-doctoral Residency program and served for many years as an Oral Examiner on the Texas State Board of Examiner’s of Psychologists. She has also been an examiner for the American Board of Professional Psychology and served as the Southwestern Region representative for that organization. She is passionately committed to furthering both her own therapeutic and research skills as well as the profession at large.

Dr, Jordan has had extensive training in psychodynamic psychotherapy techniques as well as advanced training in the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT), interpersonal neurobiology and attachment theory.
